Frank Coffie

Frank Coffie [b.1992, Ghana] studied Fine Art at Ghanatta College of Arts and Design, and in 2017 embarked on studies at Ruth Prowse School of Art in South Africa. Conceptually, he’s exploring the idea of belonging through semi abstract and figurative bodies in temporary spaces. By using random photographs from his own experience and visual memories combining the imperfections that comes from using Yarns and oil paint to create generalized outlines, shape and forms weaved or stitched. Immediate interaction with the work shows an expression providing a platform for his self-declared impatient character impressing an energy into the work.
