Franco
Bosisio

Visionary manager, former CEO of SMH Italia and Superga, VP Marketing & Art Director of Sector, known for Swatch watches signed by artists.

Franco Bosisio is a renowned manager with a successful career in various fields, including communication and management. In his more than 30-year career, he has held various top positions in leading companies that have made him one of the best known experts in his field.

Bosisio is known for his CEO positions in several companies where he led innovative projects such as Swatch's artist watches in the 1980s and 1990s. At the height of Swatch's success, Franco Bosisio was thinking of a new watch idea that would light up the wrists of both young men and businessmen who felt like transgressing. Anyone buying a Swatch knew they were buying a model that would never be around after one season, something limited.

Among the most famous examples are watches like Andrew Logan's Jelly Fish and the four signed by Keith Haring between '85 and '86. Through an overall vision and an enlightening communication strategy for the time, Franco Bosisio succeeded in bringing a consumer product closer to a public segment that was ideally far removed from mass goods.
