For over 30 years in the finance and marketing industry, Paolo Marai has held leadership roles in major companies such as Vertime, Luxury Division of Timex.
A graduate of SDA Bocconi in Milan, Paolo has had various experiences at Thomson Consumer Electronics, Philips Electronics and Swatch Group where he held leadership positions within the sales and marketing departments. These experiences gave him a proven expertise in financial services and international marketing.
He has also held positions of increasing importance and responsibility working directly or under licence for several prestigious luxury and fashion houses including Superga, Fendi, Armani, Dior, Givenchy and Kenzo.
His passion for watches led Paolo to enter the world of watchmaking and luxury where he has led the Luxury division of Timex for over 19 years. In 2005 he launched the first watch collection for Versace and later for Salvatore Ferragamo, Missoni and Philipp Plein.
As a result of his leadership, Timex's Luxury division has grown steadily in recent years, with products distributed in more than 22,000 shops worldwide, consolidating the brand's global presence in watch design, production and distribution.
