Raphaël Votte [b. 1994, France] is an artist who lives and works in Paris, delving into the themes of matter, colour, the relationship with the body and belonging to the living world.He studied illustration at the Ecole de Condé, but the pandemic rekindled his passion for painting, a quieter but expressive narrative. Raphaël's art navigates between dream and reality, challenging the boundaries of the acceptable and the repressed, inviting the viewer to ask questions.His work has been exhibited in Paris, including the Salon Contemporary Drawing Now (2016), Les Grands Voisins (2017) and the François Mitterrand National Library (2019-2020). He also completed a residency at 59 Rivoli (2019).
