It is the crasis of two words Tripp and at. The first comes from the Neapolitan dialect (o' Trip) and indicates obsession with something or someone.
The second is an English term (hat) stripped of the H. A language game devised by two sisters of Neapolitan origin. After getting “lost” in isolation at the time of the pandemic, Ludovica (16) and Laura (18) De Luca found themselves in the playful dimension of fashion, taking refuge in the warmth of textile material.
